Are you looking to become a writer and make money writing online? I have good news; It’s totally possible if you know what you’re doing. Writing is something many of us dream about, but few dare to try. For most of us, we begin reading at a young age, however, at this point, we never even think of the process of how these words got to the page in front of us.
Inspiration comes in all shapes and sizes
For me that was when I was eight years old, I was allowed access to the old section of the library where I found the Roald Dahl collection, and needless to say, I was hooked. The way he made the characters come to life; It was as if they were right there in front of me. I just couldn’t get enough of this new world that I found. I have gained immense respect for the book and an understanding of the skill it takes to keep the reader hooked and wanting more. If I was honest, I never thought I would become a writer, mathematics has always been my strongest topic and at this age, I’m pretty sure my goal in life was to be a Pink Power Ranger. Although that didn’t stop me from writing, a lot! As a kid I would write stories, lists, invitations, speeches, texts, songs, and whatever else I could think of, there was paper everywhere!
This brings me to a very important question:
Do you want to be a writer or do you want to write?
You might think to yourself, “Are they not the same?” The answer is no. The truth is that in the region only 1% of aspiring authors become world-famous authors like Stephen King or J. Rolling. However, this does not mean that you cannot write for a living, and if you enjoy the writing process itself and that is what drives you, then you have a chance for success. The good news is that it is something everyone can learn although it does not come easy for everyone. Be prepared to make the effort, and most importantly, accept constructive criticism and learn from it.

Make sure you understand what you are writing about
Do your research before you begin, and make sure you know your topic inside and out.
Read the instructions carefully
There is nothing more frustrating than getting to the middle of the article and realizing that you have to rewrite some of them or worse than all.
Keep your articles organized
Keeping your writing organized is important for text flow. No reader wants to jump from topic to topic and go back to the first again. A simple way to do this is to plan out what you have to say in paragraphs before you start writing.
Set goals!
Some days we get up with a head full of thoughts, to the point where we feel we can do a 10-day writing marathon. Don’t feel complacent as this will not always be the case. There will be a day when you wake up with a blank head, and writing will be a struggle. It’s days like these when your goals are important to you to stay on the right track.
Read!
Anything and everything, make yourself in different writing styles. Not only will it expand your vocabulary, but it will also help your writing flow more easily. You’ll find some recommendations here to get you started.
We always strive for improvement
Remember that writing is objective, so never be disheartened when someone says they don’t like your work. However, you should always take the feedback that has been made into consideration, and receiving criticism and making it constructive is a valuable skill to possess.
